That onion article is actually incredibly pro-christian - read it again, for example - "the brainless, unthinking lemmings had donated winter clothing they no longer wore to several needy families and still hadn’t opened their eyes to reality." - they are providing for people's very real needs - food, clothing, shelter -it is a good use of satire - critiquing the ridicule of christians - as stupid believers or irrational useless things - but this article is using satire to point out that they are feeding clothing and helping the poor - a very pro-christian message - disguised as 'hatred' of christians
It's satire, it's funny, and my comment was tongue-in-cheek. But, on the other hand, isn't this exactly how the world looks at us? They may point out the good things we do for others, while at the same time ridiculing us for our faith.
"That doctrine that is called 'Calvinist' did not spring from Calvin; we believe that it sprang from the great founder of all truth." -Charles H. Spurgeon

Agreed, it reads like pro-christian satire to me!
