Why did you bother staying for the service?

We were there visiting someone. Our kids (including our three-year-old) did sit through the service with us, however.

I would not want to go to that church when I beging to have children that's for sure. I did visit a church where a little boy. probably five years old, that sat next to me and he was as quiet as any adult. It was refreshing to see that because children should be welcomed in the worship service and they should be given the chance ot not be distracting.

I agree that babies should be in a nursery. Today's children do not no how to act in church. Why let children run around in the service. ANd if you have 100 bus kids you are in trouble if they set in the worship service.

Church services should be geared to the whole family, and parents need to be taught how to train their children to sit quietly. It's not impossible, it just takes a lot of perseverance and dedication. But that's what parenting is.

The Former Reformed Calvinist Preacher didn't allow kids to attend Sunday School if their Parents weren't present in the Church. Those kids were sent home.

What sect of Calvinism endorses that Practice?
