Shake-Up at Sovereign Grace: An Argument for Cessationism?

  1. A "practical" argument to bolster "theological" arguments...but still pretty persuasive.

Those who flirt with charismania soon find the whole camel ("foolishness") in the tent.

"Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour: so doth a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour (Ecclesiastes 10:1)."

  2. Come on now, Lee. We're not serious, are we?

As long as cessationists tell me that I can't use the many, many, many, many stories of healings and prophecies-come-true from Bible-believing, Christ-centered people I know personally as an argument for continuation, then neither can cessationists use stories like this as an argument for cessation.

  3. I don't agree with his ideas about cessationism, but I gotta say that was really, really, REALLY fun to read! Straight and to the point.
