This Week in Calvinism - September 3, 2010

  • How infant salvation fits into the Calvinist view.

  • "Open Theism is quite indebted to Calvinism"? Wait...what?

  • Lutheran pastor Paul T. McCain, upset that American Presbyterians are trying to sneak Calvinism into Germany, wants to be clear about something: "Calvinism is not a faithful proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Therefore, it is not an authentic, genuine and true presentation of the Reformation, but an unfortunate deformation of it."

  • Steve Hays responds.

  • Documents of the Reformation are on display in Edinburgh, Scotland. Among them, John Knox's Scottish Confession of Faith and his First Blast of the Trumpet.

  • Danelle believes the recent "surge" in Calvinism is part of Satan's campaign of deception in the final days. She presents no evidence, of course, but there you have it.

I "defriended" someone on my facebook page last week for asserting the same thing. Here's one Arminian who will not tolerate such stupidity!

I know of one dispensational prophecy pundit who says the same thing about amillenialism. Feel the love!

  3. Lee, I believe I know which Dispensational pundit you are refering too... but since you didn't name names, neither will I. LOL

  4. "The content on this site is largely God-inspired, meaning I wrote it because He told me to or had the Holy Spirit write it through me."

From her comment policy section. And WHO is the false prophet??

  5. Well logically it makes sense at least. If she writes the inspired words in the open cannon, then everyone writing anything anywhere is a threat because IT has the potential to end up as inspired cannon too, particularly that odiously popular Calvinism.

  6. Poor Danelle has a link to Derek Prince video. Mr. Prince spent the bulk of his ministry casting demons out of Christians! Ugghhh!
