J. Gresham Machen is mostly remembered as a theologian, apologist, and founder of Westminster Theological Seminary. But he was also a strong defender of political liberty and economic freedom. He was ahead of his time. Long before evangelicals were whining about evolution and sex education being taught in government schools, Machen was speaking out on the evils of nationalized education.
