Setting a New Standard (Literally) for End-Times Hysteria

Thanks to Marc at Purgatorio for finding this:
    The End-Times Christian Flag
    (a.k.a., The End-Times Battle Standard)

This God inspired design was given to Pete Nelson in a vision in 2000. The purpose of this design was to create and end-time "battle standard" (flag) for the believers of Jesus Christ. It is not a traditional, denominational or "static" flag. This flag is meant to unite the Body of Christ as a mighty Army of God and reaffirm that Jesus is alive and will soon return. ...

... The "End-Times" flag is for believers and churches that are dedicated to attacking the strongholds of the enemy (satan), setting the captives free, and advancing the Kingdom of God.
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but aren't believers already united by virtue of Christ's death and resurrection (Rom. 6:5)? Are we to assume that the Gospel of Jesus Christ isn't enough to motivate us, that we need a new "inspired" symbol to bolster our faith?

Rather than rally around a piece of cloth, let's turn to scripture. As the Apostle Paul writes in Romans 15:4-6, "For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."

I can appreciate the creative effort that went into making this flag, but nothing can unite, inspire or encourage like the living Word of God.
